Repair

Part of a daily challenge during early COVID 19 lockdowns.
This painting was inspired by the word prompt “Repair.”

Someone once shared a dream in which a white picket fence surrounded their ideal home. Each post in the fence was inscribed with a gospel principle, such as faith, hope, charity, love, and scripture study.
Some of the posts were rotting or had fallen, signaling that if they weren’t repaired, encroaching darkness would invade the sanctuary.

This painting depicts a woman mending her fence by engaging in the gospel principle of scripture study, embodying the effort to fortify and protect one’s spiritual home.
